ABC Pelican Chapter – Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc.

The Pelican Chapter, ABC has developed into a diverse, non-profit trade association of contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and industry professionals who have joined together to advance the construction industry by aggressively supporting the merit shop and the free enterprise philosophies. The Pelican Chapter, ABC has more than 300 members and represents 52 parishes in Louisiana.

ACEC – American Council of Engineering Companies

ACEC is the largest national organization specifically focused on the business of engineering, with 51 state and regional member organizations representing more than 5,500 independent engineering firms throughout the United States. ACEC is the business voice of the engineering and design services industry.

ACI – The American Concrete Institute

Founded in 1904, this non-profit technical and educational institute is one of the world’s leading authorities on concrete design, construction, and materials, reflecting its ongoing commitment to pursue the best use of concrete.

Alliance Safety Council

As pioneers in the development and execution of customized course training, Alliance Safety council continues to assist workforces in achieving compliance requirements and certifications, as well as job placements and advancements.

ASCE – American Society of Civil Engineers

Founded in 1852, ASCE advances civil engineering by developing civil engineering leaders, promoting the profession, supporting technology, promoting lifelong learning, and advocating for infrastructure and environmental stewardship.

ASCET – The American Society of Certified Engineering Technicians

Founded in 1964, ASCET is the only national professional society created especially for, and administered by, engineering technicians and technologists. Its mission is to pursue the mutual goals of engineering professionals.

AWS – The American Welding Society

This multifaceted non-profit organization was founded in 1919 with a goal to advance the science, technology, and application of welding and related joining disciplines, including brazing, soldering, and thermal spraying.

CCRL – Cement and Concrete Reference Laboratory

Founded in 1929, this organization is committed to the improvement of quality testing in the construction materials industry through laboratory assessments, proficiency samples, instruction, guidance, and clarification of ASTM standards.

DFI – Deep Foundations Institute

DFI is a non-profit international association of contractors, engineers, suppliers, academics, and owners in the deep foundations industry.

GBA – The Geoprofessional Business Association

This not-for-profit organization supports member firms that provide geotechnical, geologic, environmental, construction materials engineering and testing, and related geo-professional services that are essential to society’s welfare and economy.

GCSC– The Gulf Coast Safety Council

The Gulf Coast Safety Council (GCSC) is chartered by the State of Louisiana as a non-profit corporation, and has goals to provide state-of-the-art, innovative training and support processes to the workforce.

ISN – ISNetworld

ISN’s platform, ISNetworld®, serves as a world-class forum for sharing industry best practices, benchmarking performance, providing data insights among its members and helping decision makers, including board members, ensure contractor and supplier risk is assessed and monitored.

LES – Louisiana Engineering Society

The Louisiana division of the NSPE (National Society of Professional Engineers).

NICET – National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies

This organization offers an independent evaluation of technical knowledge and experience among people working in the fields of engineering and engineering technology and provides certification to qualified technology professionals.

NSPE – National Society of Professional Engineers

Founded in 1934, NSPE is dedicated to the non-technical concerns of licensed professional engineers and is the only national organization committed to addressing the issues of licensed Professional Engineers across all disciplines.

PDCA – The Pile Driving Contractors Association

This organization of pile driving contractors advocates for the increased use of driven piles for deep foundations and earth retention systems. They provide educational opportunities and research for both engineers and contractors.Ω

SAME – The Society of American Military Engineers
