In an unprecedented partnership, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District has selected the Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority of Louisiana's River Reintroduction into Maurepas Swamp (MSP) as a mitigation feature for the West Shore Lake Pontchartrain Project (WSLP). “When we combine risk reduction systems and restoration projects, vulnerable communities and the ecosystems around them both benefit,” said CPRA Executive Director Bren Haase.
