Eustis Engineering has immediate openings for geotechnical project managers, project engineers, and assistant project engineers.
Project Manager: Our Project Manager directs in-house company services. He/she may be a liaison between company departments, serve as an assistant to the Engineering Manager, or provide unique experience to the Engineering Department. The Project Manager is responsible for client development. He/she prepares engineering proposals and coordinates the work of the various levels of project engineers. The Project Manager coordinates site access, assigns laboratory tests, and performs engineering analyses and evaluations. He/she coordinates project requirements with client representatives. He/she provides additional theoretical expertise as well as experience base for engineering analyses and evaluations. Education: As a minimum, a master’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum with a minimum of five years’ work experience after earning the degree. A master’s degree in Civil Engineering is preferred with emphasis in geotechnical engineering or graduate level course work and/or a certificate. The position of Project Manager requires registration as a Professional Engineer.
Project Engineer: Our Project Engineer directs, coordinates, and exercises functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering projects within the area of assigned responsibility by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates. As a Project Engineer, the individual works under the technical and administrative supervision of a Project Manager. He/she may work under the technical supervision of a Senior Project Manager or Principal Engineer. He/she will receive technical guidance on unusual or complex projects, and supervisory approval on proposed plans for engineering projects. Education: As a minimum, a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum with three to five years of work experience after earning the degree. A master’s degree in Civil Engineering is, however, preferred with emphasis in geotechnical engineering or graduate level course work and/or a certificate. The position of Project Engineer requires registration as a Professional Engineer.
Assistant Project Engineer: As an entry level professional, an Assistant Project Engineer coordinates site access, assigns laboratory tests, and performs geotechnical engineering analyses and evaluations. He/she coordinates project requirements with client representatives; may provide supplemental support for the Drilling and Laboratory Departments; will also provide supplement support for other Engineering Department positions (such as Engineering Technician and/or Draftsperson) including operation, maintenance, and processing of Cone Penetrometer Test equipment; will be involved in the company’s geotechnical instrumentation and remote sensing programs; and will assist others in development and management of the company's GIS and geologic mapping resources. Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum. Zero to two years of experience after a bachelor’s degree. Professional attainments include active pursuit of professional registration including the Fundamentals of Engineering exam to achieve certification as an Engineering Intern as well as appropriate membership grade in professional and technical societies.
